Default Pet's Experience Bar

I'm not sure if we can already see it, or if it's already in the game, but if it isn't, I think it'd be a nice addition. We have our own XP bars to monitor our progress, so why not XP bars for the pets? Make it similar to the XP bar for the player, customizable size, etc. I'd appreciate an XP bar for the pets.

Thoughts?

As long as the bar disappears after the pet reaches lvl 20, pets does not gain skill points per level nor anymore experience beyond lvl 20. that xp bar would just take up space.

But for pets that are not lvl 20, definitely an xp bar is needed.

Just a side suggestion/piggy back off of this idea that would probably be cleaner. Instead of a "pet xp bar" why not just create an emote /petxp?

Response could be "<pet name> is level x and is z% from reaching next level"

I would think this would be easier to implement, and anet wouldn't have to deal with the issue of having pet xp bar available up to level 20 and then removing it.

I would have to agree with this...This way there wouldn't be an extra bar on your screen, just a nice little command that gives you a response saying petname, current level, % to next, and maybe how much xp away they are. This is something I have always wanted to know. I also think it would be cute if when your pet levels it says <petname> is now a level #!

/signed for /petxp

I kind of like the surprise when my pet levels up, though.
